Calculating Interface Resistance

This calculator uses the theory developed by Yovonovich, et.al, to calculate the interface resistance for two rectangular surfaces pressed against one another using a pressure of P.

For a detailed description of the theory, please go to the artilce published in the May 1997 issue of ElectronicsCooling.

This is a very clever tool. I actually use charts (nomograms) to make these calculations, but I'm ready to use both: for the global vision, the chart and the calculator for the result.

Thank you. We will try to create more calculators like this in the future

Nice, but needs a table of values for microhardness of typical surfaces in electronics packaging...

We will try to enhance it to include this data and will publish it again

I am unable to bring up the calculator. A screen pops up that says Slider, numerous times, and background. What am I doing wrong? thanks, Charlie Famiglietti
